HAVE YOU CONSIDERED R.S.T. OR GUNBORE AND KENT? THERE ARE OTHERS ALSO THAT SUPPLY 2.5 SHELLS @ APPROX. $9.50 A BOX OF 25.
Something like the A5 will withstand high pressure ,11-11,500#, loads. Others, like my Husqvarna Mod 20 are limited to 8000#.
I will shoot them from an early 1960's vintage Winchester Model 12.

bigger than #5. Believe this is to put less strain on the chokes {barrels} of old guns.
Those on the RST site as well as the Gamebore offered by Blistic Products.

I can't comment on where you might find slugs and buck shot, if they're even available. I load all of my own shotgun ammo these days.
If you're at all interested in reloading take a look around the BP site you'll find loading equipment, manuals and components. They even have a manual dedicated to the 16 with several pages of load recipes for the 'short' cartridge.
