1903 Springfield Barrel

I have a 1903 Springfield sporter , with a bad 30.06 barrel, I would like to find .243, or .308 Barrel to put on the sporter. Or if that fails another 30.06 Barrel, Used in good shape is OK, Thanks Jim OR Is there a gunsmith that will alter a Rem 700 Barrel to fit a 03 Springfield?

Hi, I am not sure, but either will work, 03A3 have later dates, What is the condition and date? Jim

Barrel is marked RA date is 5-44 new in cosmoline and in original wrapper.<JOHN>

Difference is 03 was machined down for a ladder sight in front of the chamber while the o3A3 had a sight similar to the carbine ,mounted on the rear receiver ring.
