What do you use the bright green fishing line for? looks so pretty on the reel, but it must send a message to the fish, ya think[?]

...almost only Spiderwire, green. Other rigs I have on line that once it hits the water, you can barely see it, don't know about the fish.

... I think, IMO, that a cheapo, BIG high poundage line in any color would not be too good. Your baits aren't going to work right, you couldn't "feel" a pick-up, and they backlash easy.

... Too much "memory" so when the line spools off, it "remembers" the shape of the spool, and is kinked when it hits the first eye of your rod, so you get less distance too. Cheap, too high poundage (as in BIG diameter) lines will just about assure you of few, if any fish, and a whole lot of problems.

...Some fisher people will recoil in shock [:0] at the price of a good quality line, why??? Never understood someone that has invested time and some substantial bucks in reels, rods, tackle, etc., then buys crapola line. WTH are you gonna save by doing this? I'll tell you.

    1) Having to clean fish
    2) Time spent un-tangling backlashes
    3) Having a GOOD hassle free fishing trip
    4) Longer casts
    5) Lures/baits working as intended
    6) Getting fish in (if you happen to get one)

...just a few things you "save", using crapola line, not worth it.
...People are suprised when they use a "good" line for the first time, all the difference in the world...my .02...[;)]

I can agree to both of those statements. I my casting rigs, I have spiderwire braided line and PLine flourcarbon. I can't remember the last time I put mono on a reel.

I buy cheap reel and put them on a good pole with power pro line. It works for me. I will also spend 2 bucks for a shell that will bring down a goose out of my 500 mossberg. Common sense will get the job done along with a few extra bucks.
