Damn, Least you could do is loan them a frag. OOps, sorry it will come back as an IED. On second thought give em a stick with some string and a safety pin.

Hell I'd be happy if they'd give ME some frags!! But seriously those two in the boat were quite successful. They caught quite a few fish as we watched them.

...not been to the sandbox, but been a LOT of places here and there.
People Wherever you find them, seem to fish by lots of different methods. No rod, no reel, no problem. Bottle, beer can, any kind of a can, makes a "rig".

...Example. A beer can, is easely made into a "spinning" reel. Ive seen fishing line, string of all types, wrapped around cans. A hook, af any type, w/foil, colored plastic, ANYTHING w/color or "shine" to it, hung/wrapped, around a hook etc., used for lure/bait. Rocks, nuts, ([:D]), anything of appropriate size, wrapped in cloth, plastic sac, tied on, for a "weight".

...Tie the line to the can. Wrap the line/string, evenly around the body of the can, with "lure/bait" attached. Hold the line w/your thumb, and cast the "rig" w/a half sidearm, half "pitching" motion, letting the "lure/bait" loose from under your thumb. The line spools off the can like line off a spinning reel. Retrieve, work the bait/lure with free hand, wrapping the retrieved line, back around the can. This type of "rig", is very efficient, in the right hands, and CHEAP too! A bottle, works in same way as a can.

...LOTS of methods used to fish, and I know that these people, considering geographical disspertion, have/had KNOW way to communicate these methods,...just good old human need to EAT, made it happen...

No Frags! whats up with that? When I was there in 91 they gave me as many as I cared to carry. I made my buddies vary nevous. A couple of the lesser men developed a twich of sorts when ever I was near. I loved blowing stuff up and still do, if I was ever to get the chance. I guess Uncle Sam has yet to get over my term in service. I'm sorry guys, I tried to play nice.

It was a crying shame when I found out they would not be handing out "Willie P", We found a couple anyways. The guys on my Hum-V told me they would kick my butt if I took them out of the box they put them in. They damn near had to place a guard on them when we started clearing trenches. Some folks have no sense of adventure what so ever[:p]
