...well, all of them, one way or another! 2-3 trips to Lake Guerro in Mexico, and once to Sugar Lake, also in Mexico.

...Very COOL, very eventfull, with both lakes being in Mexico.
...will go into some of the details later, whats your "most memorable trip"?.

    Two Come to mind:
Long Lake in Canada in 1989: Caught the largest Smallmouth, Walleye and Northern Pike of my life. Ate shore lunches everyday and most evenings.

Boundry Waters in 1975: On a week long Boy Scout Canoe Trip...

    Most Memorable Fishing Trip ?

My wife and I were camping out at the lake one week-end and got everything set up and we were waiting for Randy and his family to show up when his dad(randys) showed up and sat down to chat with us a while. We talked about the land before the lake was flooded as he owned part of it. We also talked about fishing and how he has not been in some time because of this heath. I told him to load up in my boat and I would take him for a while untill randy showed up. he took me to some of his old spots and we caught a few fish and talked about life in general as we fished. We fished for about 2 hours before he was to weak to fish any more and we headed back to the bank. He went home and we ended up being good freinds. Well his heath got worse over the following months and he ended up dieing[V]
I was the last person he ever fished with.[V][V]

We spread his ashes over one of the spots we fished on earlier that year.[V][V]

My most memorable trip ended on a sour note. I bugged the hell out of my Grandfather to go fishing. He said Grandmother was not well and it was probably a cold. I kept at him and in a few hours he began to like the idea of getting out. We went up on the JohnDay river and had some real good fishing that day. We returned home to find Grandma feeling a bit worse. Gramps took her to the local hospital. About seven hours later he lost his beloved wife of 45 years to cancer. At the time we had no idea that she had cancer. I have not been back to that part of the Johnday river since, and damn near gave up fishing all together.

Kipawa lake in North-bay Quebec...My uncles used to take us kids to an island every summer back in the mid-70's for a 2 week trip. We would catch tons of walleyes, pike and a trout or two. We would see lots of Moose and Bears, We would eat fish all day long every day, Get eaten alive by the black-flys,Clean fish well into dark, breath in mosquitoes at night, jump off cliffs into the water, pull the giant leeches off after swimming.....Man I miss those trips....

...Some details of a great trip.

...Lake Guerro, Mexico. 100's of bass a day per person. No big ones. average size was 3lb's. Several 6-7lb. per person a day, over 8 day trip. I have spent a LOT of time in Mexico, I spent 2 3(?) months walking and thumbing all over Mexico over 30 years ago, I love Mexico and the people, as long as they stay there! Well, that is generally speaking, I think you know what I mean, no illegals!

...We stayed on a river each time I have gone. You camp on the river, and follow rag markers tied to trees out of the river.

W/o the markers, you would never get thru the trees, some (most) of the boat trail is maybe 6-8' wide.
... Topwaters rule, unless wind negates their use. Spinners are the next great bait. Plastic baits catch fish, but you can not "work" any of them the way they were intended to be "worked", as the fish will slam them the instant they hit the water, no fun.

...Ahh topwaters. Every other hit you get on a topwater would make the cover of Field & Stream! Flying a couple of feet out of the water when they hit, beautiful!

...While fishing, you will on every dozen or so casts, you will catch a Rio Grande Perch, or that is all I have heard them called.
These are about a pound or a little larger, look like a perch/brim for the most part, but they have a huge gelatinous "lump" in the middle of their forehead, kinda ugly.

...A huricane hit the Yucatan one trip, and moved inland. Being where we were, middle of BFE, we had no idea it was comming, we had been down fishing for 8 days already. We were leaving anyway. The rain and wind were a bit&^! If we had pulled out an hour later, we would have never got off the river for who knows how long, as the road (ha-ha) is dirt w/ruts that would swallow pk-up and boat, would have turned to bad mud...excellant trip, go if you get a chance...[;)]

...??? But! I am watching OLN right now, and they are chad fishing.
Around here, chad are striper or "big" bass bait. The chad I have seen/heard of, are minnow size. The show I am watching, these guys are catching what looks like (they have not said yet) 1 1/2-2 lb chad, looks like fun.

Not really a trip, just a outing to the lake for some shore fishing at night for saugeyes. Well, were I went was busy, really busy, got there about 6 pm. Not quite night out yet, but i fished till about 10, nobody around was catching anything, or very few on both sides of the shore, it was in a channel. Well, the crowd pretty much left, and there was only a few people left by about 10:30. Then, I got a bite, caught a nice keeper, put it in the basket. Next cast, wham, and it nailed, pulled in another one, I think I had caught one and only had a few bites up to this point. These were both keepers. Next cast I had a bite and missed. 4th cast, I caught another keeper. Now everyone that is still there is watching me cause no one else is catching anything. I preceded to catch 10 more saugeye from the time period of 10:30 to 12:00 AM. All but two of them were keepers, Since the limit for eyes in Ohio is 6 a day, I had to give 2 fish away. That was the greatest hour and a half of fishing I have ever have and man it was sweet, cause here I am this 16 or 17 year old, catching fish like crazy when all the old fokes around weren't. Plus I was fishing with a 5'6" shakespeare rod and reel. For some reason that rod always caugh saugeye, but this time was some of the best fishing I had ever had.

Man I wish I still could go back there and fish everyday at night. [V]
