YOUR BIGGEST FISH IS.....

...Whats the biggest fish you ever caught?
...Does not matter what kind.
...Bass is what I do mainly, but, if it swims, I LIKE IT!
...Florida strain Bass (Large mouth), if I remember right, was 8.9, not that big for all the time and money AND years Ive invested in chasing them!...but ALL worth it...[:D]

...Had LOTS of bass from fingerlings, to my biggest, 8's, 7's,6's ect. For years I went regardless of weather, twice a week, year round.
...Been snowed on, hailed on, and watched a tornado pass within a 1/4 mile of the boat once, caught a 7+ half hour later! Little lake up by Paris Tx's.

...ya'lls turn...4171.gif

I caught one so big it filled the bottom of my 14 foot row boat. Another so heavy I had to land it using a SUV.[;)]

    Bloviator,
Yup Alaska. Went to visit my "brother" there.
Fishing is one of the main reasons he lives there.
He took us out of Homer, where the pic was taken.
Had to have my arms feel like "jello" from fishing, at least once in my life.
    They did. [:D]

I'd have to go through piles of albums - I can't even
remember - probably a Cabo Blue Marlin or a Mexican Golden
Grouper but I think I've gotten the biggest bug amongst my
buds! Cabo San Lucas, around 1990.[:D]

...pointman, been on TB everal times. Fished LA. side more than Tx. side. Have not been in years, had too many lakes I found that were good, somewhat closer. When tourneys were held there, was the main reason I'd go.

...Found some lakes further, I liked better too! A little lake in Arkansas, outside of Mena, Ark., not on maps, but it is awesome. No facilities of ANY kind, locals don't go, too many timber rattlers, and cotton mouths, and deer & turkey hunting is their main thing, not fishing. If you are skittish of snakes this is not the place to go, been in swamps, deserts, mountains, jungles, you name it, and Iron Forks has em all beat for shear numbers of poisonous snakes.

...Ever made it to Sam Rayburn? The "brown water" (from the tanic acid, I think) sucks the confidence right out of me. Never did like it. So maney places to fish, so little time...and then hunting and just shooting, I guees I'm a multi-tasker!...[;)]

bloviator, no, i have never fished sam rayburn. ive been holding off on an out of state fishing trip so i can go to lake fork one day. when i go to toledo, i usually fish the hwy 6 (la road number) bridge area. i think theyll start the spawn here within the next 30 days or so. talked to a friend the other day and he said there were eggs in some already.

we have a similarly dangerous lake here in cenla. its called saline lake. it certainly has its share of snakes, but the reason i dont go there is because you have some folks who have built duck blinds with drill stem. when they abandon the blind, they usually leave a section of drill stem behind.and usually its only out of the water by about 4 inches or so during regualr lake levels.i just bought a brand new ranger bass boat three years ago and i aint taking any chances[;)]

I caught a 46lb king salmon in a river. I've been catching some nice ling cod out in the ocean along with some really nasty looking rock cod of various types. I'll try to post a ling picture, the biggest this yr was 39" I'll get a digital scale this yr to take some weights, I do know that the biggest ling I caught had some nasty scars from where somethling tried to eat him [:0], I want to catch that one.
