One cup flour, add your choice of spices to it, and about one can of beer. Beer battered scrimps is good! [:D]

Not a "batter" but if you mix equal parts of flour and corn meal together with spices of choice. and dunk in flour mixture then a egg wash then back in flour mixture it turns out pretty good...great with fish too[:D]

**for a crunchier coating add crushed corn flakes to flour mixture

Beaten egg dip then into Italian bread crumbs and deep fry.
