looking to but a gps for my boat any recommands don't want to spend a arm and a leg but do want something that will do the job for around 300

    ...if you don't already have a portable GPS, try looking at portables, leave the boat, it leaves with you. Dual purpose, for fishing, and hunting, or whatever. Garmin is as good as it gets, or at least thats what everybody I know has...[;)]

    I use a handheld Garmin,use a power cord to use it on the boat. Only problem is when the gulf starts kicking up, it can be hard to see those small numbers to find the wreaks. A larger mounted model would help then, mw
