    private:
...a lake that is aprox. 30 acres in size, on a ranch, full of healthy Florida bass, hybrid brim/perch, crappie, channel cat. Private, in the middle of 1,500 acres of cattle ranch, QUIET.

    public:
...Lake Fork, east of Dallas, well known for it's big bass (nation-wide),...NOT QUIET...[:D]

...give me a heads-up when you will be in Tx., and it might could happen...[;)]

My pond in the side yard...I put it in about 8? years ago. My kids were little then and we would go to the local creek and fill buckets up with everything we could grab and dump them into the pond. Now I grab my ultra-light when I'm bored and catch and realease just to see what we have grown in there. We feed that pond with fish pellets and some of the blue-gills are atleast a pound each. We have a few bass in there and the largest caught so-far was around 4-5lbs. Last summer a few catfish were thrown in and some perch for more blue-gill control. I put in 2 more ponds last summer so we will start stocking those this year. I'm hoping to get the dozer home again this summer and put in another. I should have 6 ponds total if all goes as planned!.....Want to go on a "Canned" fishing trip?[;)][:D]

brookies, natives this time of year are a sure bet,the creek can be fished all year round.Maybe an hours drive east of Rochester N.Y. water levals are affected by run off, and can change from day to day.

Yes I have, Went to a seminar on raising freshwater shrimp last summer. Think I'm going to go with fish-farming though...Less risks as far as I can see.

Just in case any of you real fisherguys (gals) are in The People's Republic OF New Jersey, go to Fortesque.
    It's on the map.
    Little difficult to get to.
Rent a boat or go on one of the Partys or off the beach like I do.
Striper, weakies, blues, drum, & flounder are waiting there.
My son netted a manta ray (damn near sunk the boat) on a turtle survey off Fortesque. Just shows you the variety in the lower Delaware Bay.
Be sure you know the rules.
    See you there.

An ornamental pond in a friends front yard. It is really small and hadn`t been fished for years until last year. 52 blugill all 3/4 lbs or better and 26 bass all upwads of 2 1/2 lbs. A couple of 5 lbers all in two hours with my wife and myself fishin. One blugill 1.4 lbs he looked huge!

The stock pond out in the pasture.

Maybe two acres when it's plumb full, but relies entirely on run-off to keep it up.

Lookin' pretty sad right now since we've been in this drought for goin' on two years.

Full of channel cats. All sizes up to about 15lb.

    Ever hooked a 15lb.catfish on a Zebco 404?

If I don't get some run-off soon,we might have to have a "net party" and have us one hell of a GB fish fry.

I love my pond too a little over 3 acres was an old gravel pit. Have 4 pound plus smallies in it along with largemouth up to 7 pounds although my biggest is 5 but a young kid caught a 7-2 out of it that I saw. But--- I still prefer Lake St. Clair and Lake Champlain and Okeechobee for bass fishing. Nothing like a sunrise over fields of cattails and lilly pads or bulrush all over to pinpoint.
