Ok, we have had discussions on reels, how about your favorite rods. My favorite catfish rod is an eight foot ugly stick catfish rod. Bass rod, Berkley Lightning rod. But, there are too many to say whats the best.

I like just about anything made by these guys... http://www.dlfcustomfishingrods.com/ Last year I had them put a handle on my 7' musky rod. Not only does it look great, but casts really nice. Still have yet to hook into one since the change over.

I currently have 8 Uglysticks of various sizes set up for different types of fishing. They have worked well for me for almost 20 years.

i only use G-Loomis.

use to have st. croix....but loomis in MY mind is far superior.
