Son got his first bass tonight

We went to the little summer camp pond. We bought him his own rod today, a zebco, but not one of the kiddie ones.
He can't cast so dad thru out the first two and ...BOOM HE GOT ONE.
He followed it up with 4 more on spinners and a topwater.
