Texas Top Waters

I finally got time to check out one of Bloviators lures on my big pond in the woods.
The water is still colder than it needs to be for good fishing, but I really needed the practice.
I was seeing a lot of bass while I was cruising around the pond edges but no takers.
After a few hours of tossing that red sided lure into every nook and cranny I could find, a 18 incher broke the silence, and slammed it so hard I about jumped out of the boat.
I released it back into the water so no one would be offended [:D]

Nice job and patient one too. What is the water temp their?
When I was up there that day it was still under 50 degrees.
These past few nights havn't helped it out very much either.

I thought they only ranged as far North as Arkansas/N Texas.

Yankee land([:D][}:)]) may be a w-e-e bit nippy for 'em, but, they may be able to survive ok, but for sure would not spawn twice a year...[;)]
