figured you guys are tired of looking at more pics of sandbass
but I just couldn't resist posting this
I was useing a minnow lure
throwing into shallow water (throw it in and let it set for the count of two then start to retrive)
while it was setting there was a swirl of water on the lure
I set the hook and retrived it to get a suprise

two fish, both sandbass, both over 12 inches long

I knew that without pics some of you would say I was talking out of my hat.
so I made sure to take the pics

Sand bass? look like hybrids or white bass to me, maybe they are the same and differen't place calls them different things.

I have seen two white bass caught at the same time while trolling.

...there are hybrids and sandbass...some kind of cross breed.
Hybrids get BIG. A friend of mine had a 25-6-7- lb mounted.
I can't hardly tell the difference, but, by looking on their tongue...for little "rough patches"...one has some, or more, than the other one...don't recall which is which...[?]

Lt any fish, is better than "no" fish, period.
...and you gotta love those topwaters...[;)]

    I ain't a marine biologist...I just bass fish...[:D]
