Well, I'm back, kinda. Hobbling around....with a stupid aluminum cane, rather embarrassing. But beats not walking at all.

All the hospital tests were done last Fri., have no idea when I will get the results. One test they shot me up with some radioactive stuff for a complete bone scan, glowed green for 2 days.
Backs better, left leg is somewhat better. There for a week and a half, if I put any weight on my left leg, it felt as if the bones were going to shatter...and it HURT 24/7, sucked big time.

I aint no sissy with pain, Ive had a qaud by-pass after a coronary festival 3-4 years ago, Ive broke 13-15 bones, both arms, both legs, fractured skull, closed head injury, rebuilt right shoulder, blah, blah...but this crap ranked right up there for being totally miserable. This crap laughed at all the heavy duty meds the doc gave me,trust me I had enough of every thing I should have been in a stuper, but the sheet hurt so bad, it overroad the effects of the meds. With Ambien I could only sleep 15-30-45 min at a time, spread out over 24 hours...for almost a month, I'm now sleeping about 3-4 hrs at a time with the Ambien.

Missed opening week of dove season, *. Looks like I will miss all of dove season since it does not seem like my leg will be well enough for me to get out in the field on it, *.

A sincere thanks for all the em's I recieved from so many people. I was humbled, and suprised...thanks again to all for all the encouragement and kind words...Richard

Good luck to you.I had about the same problem fifteen years ago.I was given all the test by the best back doctors in the state. All they came up with was I had a pinched nerve. They figured time would be the only cure. This went on for three years. Then I took a bad step and all hades broke out.I had tried the regular chiropractors out.As a last resort I went to a chiropractor that used ( for lac of a better word), thumper like tool.He worked the back of my neck and part of my lower back with that thumper. It took about six or eight more vists to that guy, to get me back to normal. For the last ten years I've been pain free.I go see him about once a year or year and a half now.Never give up.
