A friend has a brother who lives in Mississippi and when he visits his brother they go fishing. Their favorite fish are ones he calls "white sailors". He claims they are white catfish. I have caught an occasional albino channel cat over the years, may 4-6 in 50 years. He says these fish are very common. I suspect this is a local name for a common fish, like walleye are commonly known as "jack salmon" here in missouri. Any body know anything on these fish?
