Anyone living in or around California ever been to Diamond Valley? I thought it was alright besides the nasty wind storm we got caught in[}:)]About 4pm after fishing all day it finally came over and down the mountains, they closed down the lake and we were escorted off. We were flying though about six, seven foot swells at least at about 50 miles an hour, the engine was overheating and the buzzer sounding because we were air born for about 1/2 mile of the mile or so it took us to get back to the dock. It was a ruff ride[B)] Once we got there I had to jump from the boat to the dock, needless to say I didn't make it, smacked off the dock, and sunk to the bottom like a rock[:D] Once I surfaced and got my breath back I drug myself up out of the water and raced to back the truck and trailer up. Good times, good times. O ya we caught a couple fish to. I'm serious, only a couple. Wasn't the best day for some fishing but it was one trip I will never forget.[8D]

My wife grew up in Diamond Valley, CA. At first I thought it was the same place then you said 'seven foot swells' and I knew it was another Diamond Valley CA.
The one we always talk about is on the Nevada side. starts where 88 leaves the valley floor and continues easterly and south. It sits between Woodsfords and Markleeville.
