anyone on here eat softshell turtles? like the snappers myself, but have alot of softshells around my area

Creek was infested with'em.

Caught some up to 20-24"

Dad would clean'em and Mom would fry'em up for supper.

...Excellent! I had one that came out of the ranch lake that was the biggest one I'd ever seen, wish Id had my camera, about 30+ across...first one I ever cleaned, took and hour and busted knuckles [:D]

...Buck knife and a fencing tool to get to the dang meat...but WELL worth it!...[;)]
