Anyone try submersible fishing lights?

The idea is they attract the fish to the light. I've seen it happen for minnow boats but they have BIG lights.

Thinking of ordering one. Even if it doesn't work as advertised, it will be nice to illuminate the water around the stern for netting purposes.

We use green lights about 12 to 18 inches long for catching bait fish for striper fishing. Turn the light on for about 10-15 minutes , tun it off for about 30-45 seconds and cast the net. These lights are alot of $$$$$$$ some places but some can be found for 25 dollars or so , see no real useable difference between the two.

I got one and tried it this weekend. It was a bit windy and choppy to really work but it did attract a few minnows.

On a calm night this should do pretty well I think. At very least I'll be able to see how to net the fish.

I have a couple I use in north Ga. reservoirs. They work great attract a lot of bait fish and all the larger fish are soon to follow. I mostly catch Big Crappie and stripers at night.
