Didn't have much in my one reel reference book: The Kiest reel is one of many of that style that are referred to as "Indiana" or Ferris Wheel reels. It was introduced around 1930 and originally was sold in a tin metal can. In poor condition-$25. In Good-$50 and in Excellent--$90. Sorry, can't add any info about the rod.

I have seen many of them for sale at tackle shows and on line auctions.

    Good luck with it.

Do a Goggle search for "Kiest Reel." I found over 90,000 references to the reel.

    Good luck with it.....
