Anybody want to reccomend one? HOw many holes? How thick the ice?

    I have no experience using them. I have heard great things about Ice Gators. Also Strikemaster and Jiffy are leading names in augers and would not risk their name with a poor quality unit. There is a huge number of discussions on augers on www.iceshanty.com Keep in mind these are opinions.... you know what they are like. Also there is a huge following there of their sponsors and Ice Gator is one of them.

    I just got an adapter for my hand auger to attach it to a cordless drill. It works great!
