I am snowed in today, but come spring I will be wading in the Holston river here in east Tennessee fishing for smallmouth. I'm retired and have a house on the river. So, I can walk out my back door into the river. If any of you care to join me reply and maybe we can get together about April or May.

I am on a shoal. Unless TVA is flowing the river is knee deep and clear for about 300 yards. It has a hard rocky bottom. An ultralight spinning rod or flyrod works very well. You may take a redeye or occasional trout.

Nothing better on a Hot July day. I am with you Ranger Man that sounds like a plan. Here in Missouri we have hundreds of miles of beautiful scenic riverways. When I was a bunch younger I spent many days fishing the Jacks Fork. We did not realy catch many smallmouth but lots of bluegill and other panfish.I haven't done it in years but it was Always a Good Time! Thanks for the memories.
