Well, a buddy and I are heading out for the first day of fishing this year. The boat's fueled, trolling motor batteries are charged, food's on board. Now all I have to do is wait for him to get up! He's a county deputy and had to work 'till 3AM. We'll hit one of three local reservoirs today; Wolf Creek, Pilcher, or Thief Valley. Lots of trout in all three, big uns in Thief Valley. Pilcher and Wolf Creek both have a fair population of crappie, too. My nephew caught a 14" crappie out of Pilcher a few years back. I'll check back in later...

    Went to Thief Valley Reservoir and came home with 9 rainbows.
    5 of 'em were over 17"! I don't know what my problem was today, I had 5 nice hits and couldn't keep any of 'em hooked up. My buddies 7 year old caught a 19" 'bow and man was he stoked!
