I will admit I am a Vexilar guy. Always have been. My FL20 has served me well the last 3 years, but I wanted to upgrade this year. First time I WANTED to upgrade. I didn't see the FL22 being an upgrade. Maybe why they are discontinued.....
Sold the FL20 for $400. Used Cabelas points and a promotion to get the FLX28 down to $275.
I'll report back how it works.
Also I have 3 co-workers who jumped to the LX7 this year. None of us have had the units on the ice yet. The LX7's where just bought at the St. Paul Ice Show over the weekend, and my FLX 28 is still a few days out for "in store pick up". We shall see how they compare.
