Went fishing this morning and set a crayfish trap

Went out fishing this morning, had several hits on a plastic lizard, but could not hook up to save my life. Met a guy out there that had a bucket of crayfish, I talked to him for a few minutes. I ended up going back and grabbing my minnow trap, have it baited with bacon, we'll see if it works, I hope it does, I like crayfish and the lake is only a few miles down the road, would be nice to have crayfish anytime I feel like.

Caught my first batch of crawfish at about three years of age using bacon, string, and stick. They love it. Good luck!
    What's next?

    About any meat will work.
When I was a kid, I tried setting jugs in our pond for turtles using old pork for bait.
Never could catch a turtle and the bait was always gone.
I set them one day and on a whim, on the way back across the pond I pulled one of the jugs up.
There were crawdads on the bait.
I quit trying for turtles after that. [:D]
