I learned last month that the remains of a former childhood friend (May, David M) who became MIA on 20 Feb 1971 had been located and returned to the US. He was one of the reasons I enlisted and requested Viet Nam service. I wore his MIA bracelet until 1998, when I decided I needed to get on with things. His bracelet was left at "The Wall" in 1998. I had always kept searching for information until then. Only to discover last month his remains had been located and identified that same year. I would have given anything to have attended the service at Arlington.
God Bless David and those that made the sacrifice...We will never forget..
