    M1A1,

I can't give you exact specifics but the differences between the OH-6A and OH-6C's as far as I knew are the horsepower rating of the engines and bigger trannies. They ran Allison 250- (C17-, C18- and C20- series) engines. Nothing structurally changed in the airframe. The OH-6C, as I knew them, was a dedicated gunship.

The OH-6C'S I worked with in the early '80's had a minigun on the left and a rocket pod on the right. They still had the "Y" tail. The D's(troop ships) had the "T" tail. and bigger engines and transmissions(317-320 SHP).
