My older brother was one of Uncle Sam's Misguided Children from 66 to 70.(as he would have said)
He was a tanker and was part of Task Force Robbie. Is there any info out there on the net that might help me understand what he was doing?
his name L CPL T. Yax I understand he was working with1st recon as well

well, thanks to Sgt John Wears of 3rd tanks I finally got a picture of my brother and
found out Task Force Robbie was a rapid reaction Flame Tankers group. One of many in the Cam Lo area. The pictures help explain it.

I was with Task Force Robbie in late April 1968
when it attempted to relieve some ARVN in trouble.
Someone has put some pictures of Marine tanks up
on a website. I believe one photo shows the lead
tank in TFR after it hit a mine about 500 meters
west of Cam Lo. I was commanding a M-42 unit of
US Army "Dusters" and Quad 50s that accompanied
Task Force Robbie. My Duster was about 30 feet
from a Marine M-60 that took a direct hit from a
RPG, just before the order to retreat was given.
I carried a wounded Marine back on the engine deck
of my Duster when took off, but never knew his name.
