tunnel rats

There was a show on Modern Marvels (Hist channel) last night about the tunnel rats in VN. Covered the Tet Offensive, etc. and showed the tunnels today. Tight spaces have never bothered me - I've done some minor restriction cave diving, etc. But seeing the tunnels (they are now open as a "tourist" exhibit) and entrances, and knowing that our boys (and maybe a few of you posters here) went in there with nothing but a 45 and a flashlight... wow. Must have taken big brass clankers to do that...

    Our tunnel rat was this little 5' nothing guy from San Juan. Tough as nails. testicals the size of grapefruits. He was finally did in by a claymore with only 2 weeks before time to rotate.
