..Hi folks. I come here from the GD forum to ask those who
might know about Vets' organizations. I was a bit young for
Vietnam, graduating HS in '74. I gift money to some outfits
but really don't know who's legit and actually using the
money to help.
..I always gave to Wounded Warriors until the scandal but now
I don't know. USO, VFW and others are sure bets. Recently, I got
the usual "free gifts" from Disabled Veterans National Foundation. Anyone know about them? Any other guidance from you folks on the
subject would be appreciated, as I appreciate you....Thanks...tap

There are a lot of scumbag groups that pick a name that is REAL close to a legit organization- be careful- and I would check any of them thru Charity Navigator.
If you would like a personal reccomendation, Fisher House. They are one of the 10 best charities in the US. They provide group living/ meals for families of vets staying at their places at military hospitals around the country. You can also donate frquent flyer miles to Fisher House.
mentioned. Fisher House was brought up more than once. Thanks
for the link to the navigator. Real handy site.
