What is the time in Grade from Second Lieutenant to First Lieutenant and then from First LT to Captain?

If someone has a link that shows this would be great..

TIA

    Thanks *_r_done,

actually I was trying to find out how many years they have to be in that rank before promotion.. IE: E-5 to E-6 in Air Force is two year in grade before they can move up..

So looking for time in grade before advancement from Sec. LT to Fst. LT and then Fst. LT to Capt.

Thanks I'll search that site you posted..

During Viet Nam, the Time In Grade requirement was 12 months from 2Lt to ILt, and another 12 months from 1Lt to Cpt. They began stretching the time out- THINK it is currently 30 months. However- there are exceptions- Guard and Reserve folks on active duty do not get promoted unless they are serving in the higher rank slot. Date of Rank for ROTC grads is not earlier than West Pointers of the same year (us crude OCS types have a date of rank that IS the date of rank)
