Does anyone remember the chocolate cookie bar in MRE's? I would love to find a case of those...most guys in my platoon thought they tasted like dirt, but I'd always trade my Apple for one. USMC 95-02

You can find most of the MREs on Fleabay. Mostly the new versions but I have seen some of the old ones too. After Katrina, there were thousands of cases of new MREs being sold online....imagine that!!

I remember the chocolate cookie bar well. We called those John Wayne bars. I also like them but most people did not.

The mint brownie was the best followed up by the pound cake.
Menu A's best main course was the Chili Mac; the Spaghetti and meat sauce; and then the Meatloaf; in that order.
Actually, I let the wife try an MRE Menu A, coincidentally, it was the Chili Mac, she was sick for most of the day....must be a tolerance thing. Heh, I actually had the Spaghetti and Meat sauce MRE last night and I have been out of the Army since 11/2004. Ha, old habits die hard.
