War is Hell and GOVERNMENTS cause them to happen.Hitler was the aggressor and his subjects reaped the punishments of his crimes. The Russians were much worst on them.

That is what the victor's history books say. I am right in the middle of this interesting video. I have heard hints of some of this but this is pretty detailed.

Bernard Baruch came to Ike as we approached the German border and ordered the implementation of the Morgenthau Plan to destroy the German people. Most Americans don't realize that German civilians were fleeing to the Russian zone to escape the wholesale murder and raped that was being encouraged in the Allied zones.
