Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

    It's terrible what happened.
My question is: (and it's probably crass),
after all these businesses have been destroyed
and most likely never to be rebuilt at least
    in that town.
What will the town services re: Police,Fireman
DPW etc.. do to maintain their workforce?
The tax base,I'm guessing is gonna take
    a huge hit.
    I'm not insensitive just wondering.

I feel bad for laughing out loud at that.

By "bad", I mean "happier than two minutes ago".

it will go the way East St Louis went. an economic juggernaut way back when, using the railways and packing houses and other industries. ESL at one time had jobs for the entire region, on par with sT Louis proper. then it crashed as the packing houses closed and rail yards consolidated. now its a massive slum. Fergeson will be next. the slums downtown and north are stretching out into what was previously ethnic neighborhoods, Poles, Czechs, Slavs, Germans, all these have moved out and the slums come in.quote:Originally posted by rong
