    What's wrong with using dog hide for wearable goods? Is that somehow worse than deer skin, or cow hide? Should snake skin be taboo? How about alligator? I suppose we should oppose violins too?

    Deer are hunted and not murdered in slaughter houses. Many cases they skin the dogs alive too. Are you really going to defend gentlemangary?

    I realize that cultures are different and I try and cut other cultures thoughts and practices a lot of slack.

    Where my "cutting slack" stops is, for me, no matter what it is that is being used for food, leather, etc. deserves a quick humane death.
