Children in Charge in D.C.

Speaker Boehner invites a head of state to speak before a joint session of Congress without even advising the White House.

A childish act.

Not to be outdone, our President decides to double-down on the childishness by lobbying his caucus to boycott the speech, keeps his VP from attending, chooses to snub the PM by not meeting with him and then tells his press secretary to let us know that he, the President will probably not even watch or listen to the speech.

Boehner made it personal, Obama made it partisan.

And we wonder why our leadership is being questioned the world over.
Freedom and a submissive populace cannot co-exist.

Just got off the phone talking to my lady friend we were talking about the same thing although we used Obama and company acting like a bunch of first graders.

Makes you wonder what Obama/Kerry are so afraid of. This speech seems to have them terrified the cat might be left out of the bag

I don't know why people have any questions about Obama being a Muslim or not. It's in his book in his words as plan as it can be but yet he's elected president and people still pretend that he's one of us.

"In "Audacity of Hope" he writes: "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction." The quote comes from page 261 of the paperback edition of "The Audacity of Hope."

This is clearly what the people of the US want.[:I]
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

Don, calling Obama and Boehner "leaders" takes a very l-o-n-g stretch of the imagination. Obama is a Socialist/Marxist, he rejects any ideas not in line with his; his Chicago (D) political experiences taught him (D)'s rule by edict not law (see Chicago, the city that works).

Boehner is just old school (R) Elite, he got to where he is by back room power deals. He gets his power from the money donors that keep him elected to his seat. His leadership is RINO centric he will not change anything to meet the will of the people.

Both are very different men but in scary ways exactly the same.

One of the most astute assessments I've read lately.

Until the general public decides to smarten up and do something really constructive for once it'll never change.
