I like Ted Cruz even in Mexican he is 100 times better than Jeb.
He and Walker are the best so far.
Good to see the NJ lard * is out.
I agree, JEB needs to go away as well or run on the socialist ticket where he could be the nominee. Not much difference between JEB and Obama.
He's Canadian. Not Mexican.
I was referring to the video.
He was born in Canada but his Mom is American. He passes the test as "Natural Born" see here:
The consensus was that someone is a "natural born" citizen if they have citizenship at birth and don't have to go through a naturalization process to become a citizen.
If that's the definition, then Cruz is a natural born citizen by being born to an American mother and having her citizenship at birth. (This same logic would apply to Obama, even if he were born in another country, which he wasn't.)
He is probably the best qualified person to be President in 50 years.
I like him.[8D]
I guess I'm slow, but I just learned that he was born in Canada, to an american citizen mother...that makes him a "natural born" American citizen eligible to run for Prez? Seems it was a similar situation for McCain. Seems odd to me. Now, if he had been born in Kenya......
1. Obama's mother was not old enough to automatically confer citizenship to him.
2. He expatriated his citizenship when he was legally adopted by an Indonesian national, making his point of birth irrelevant.
3. He could have reclaimed his citizenship without prejudice upon returning to the U.S. by remaining in the U.S. continuously for a period of 10 years. He did not do this. He traveled abroad during this time.
Obama's place of birth remains elusive, but the facts of his adoption and the citizenship laws going with that are not open to dispute. They were simply ignored to immaculate him.
John McCain was born to two Americans both old enough to confer citizenship, in an American Territory, the Canal Zone.
I have no idea of Ted Cruz's lineage but will be happy to look into it, as if he's not eligible to be President, then my objections to him taking office or running would be the same as for Obama.
His mother is from Delaware and of Irish/Italian descent.
He was born in Canada when his parents lived there while working in the oil industry.
he steps on his tongue.
He knows he has no shot.
However, if he does not muck up
he may get on the ticket as VP.
Hillary has already been anointed as the Democrat candidate. She will sail through without competition and nothing but praise, even from the Democrats who hate her guts.
The Republicans will have somewhere between fifteen and twenty candidates. Long time friends will cut each other to bloody ribbons. No Republican will have anything good to say about another Republican.
There will be no need for Hillary to rip-up the Republican. The Republicans will have already done that.
I think he has a shot, lots better than McCain.
And his father is Cuban. Not Messican.
He is probably the best qualified person to be President in 50 years.
I like him.[8D]
So glad it's not necessary for me to point this out. [:D]

This hits all relevant points.

If this is your standard political campaign it will go something like this:
Hillary has already been anointed as the Democrat candidate. She will sail through without competition and nothing but praise, even from the Democrats who hate her guts.
The Republicans will have somewhere between fifteen and twenty candidates. Long time friends will cut each other to bloody ribbons. No Republican will have anything good to say about another Republican.
There will be no need for Hillary to rip-up the Republican. The Republicans will have already done that.
And then a goodly portion of the right will declare that they disagree with the Republican nominee on some issue or another, and therefore the guy is no different from Hillary.
indictment(which I doubt)there will be two
lugnuts embarrassing my home state.
Neither have the campaign funds.
Jeb has/will have it all.
We all know the office now goes to
the highest bidder.
Jeb may have an early advantage, but it's hardly written in stone that he will be the nominee. It's very possible that any of the three above could knock him out of the race with a good campaign.
And Hilly is not yet anointed. The looney Left wants Pocahontas (Warren,) and will try to undercut Hilly. The WH has already done so to a degree by leaking the illegal e-mail server. If her email scandal can't be wished away to the cornfield, it's possible that she can be eliminated from the race.
So it's all very much up in the air at this point.
Had Ted Cruz the foresight to be born of two American parents on an American military base, as McCain did, then he'd be a Natural Born American.
But born off American soil? To an ex-Cuban Socialist Revolutionary Canadian father and an American ex-pat mother? Then he took until just recently to renounce his Canadian citizenship?
Oh yeah, some lawyers are going to have a fun time with this guy alright.
We need a pragmatic and successful State Governor of clear lineage to being a Natural Born American. Not a showboater of muddled claim to citizenship.
If Cruz's father was a Socialist, he's certainly changed... http://blogs.wsj.com/law/2015/03/23/legal-experts-say-canadian-born-cruz-is-eligible-to-serve-as-president/?mod=smallbusiness/
Besides, in this country we don't accuse the son of the sins of the father.

I know is dad is cuban but the video if you watched it was in Mexican.
So if he's Cuban, why were they talkin Mexican??
Does he speak Mexican??
Can he even count to ten in Mexican??
Or can he talk Cuban??
I asked some of my Canadian friends if they thought it was a dealbreaker...
They said "Oui".

If he gets very far, which ain't likely, there will be a court fight over his eligibility to be President. His mother was an American but his father did not become one until 2005. Plus his father fought for Castro, he was a Socialist Revolutionary. He was briefly a political refugee in the USA but went to Canada and became a Canadian citizen. Which is where his son Ted was born.

You mean like your boy obama?
That appears to be exactly what Chrisintempe means. Buyers remorse?[:D][:D]
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

If he is the nominee I will send his campaign money, screw the (R) party.
He would make a fine POTUS! [^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^][^]
So if he's Cuban, why were they talkin Mexican??
I believe it's called, "Spanish." Cuba, Mexico and several South American countries speak Spanish. We speak English, but we're not English.

He's from Spain now??!!??
Is that his mom?
Even worse, if Perry can shake his Felony
indictment(which I doubt)there will be two
lugnuts embarrassing my home state.

Cruz has the exact chances as Herman Cain.

I will send donations also, it might be the main source of his campaign money. Drive the Rhinos nuts if he was heavily financed by the average John Doe.
The Weasel McConnell, the Orange man Boehner and Fat * Rove commenced scheming about five minutes after his speech was done. They know he is trouble for them along with other Rhinos if he is successful

It will be difficult to overcome the stupidity shown by all the people who voted for Obama.
Twice.
I bet the Democrats are doing their "happy dance" now that the most divisive person in the Republican party is running. His huge ego will prevent a united party in 2016.
A united Republican party means John Boehner and Mitch McConnell and others of their ilk.
Is that what you want?
