I support free college education

The kids are out protesting today, calling for free college education. I think we should give it to them. They can use local churches and synagogues as their schools, and the professors and administrators can volunteer their time. We can recycle used text books. We'll ask for tent donations so they can sleep in the grass. This is a win-win situation.

Student demonstrations are set to engulf the U.S. today in the `Million Student March', as activists from campuses around the country stage a day of protests against tuition fees and student debt, further inflamed by recent social justice protests at Yale and Missouri.

you know how the story ends - they will get their way on this and then when they go into the work force and see how high their taxes are they will then get on the kick of people getting "entitlements" and then STEAL all the money the seniors have saved and have coming through SS with the "promise" of taking care of them. then the hunger problems will be solved due to a new food source - SOYLENT GREEN. (for you younguns look it up)

every young democrat will get on that band wagon and say that the old have out lived their usefulness.

don't say it can't happen - for Gods sakes WE are allowing baby parts to be sold.

    YES WE !!!!

Free education is worth exactly what you paid for it.

I'm all for free education. Just means that the youngens won't be able to do my job. Job security for the rest of my life and I'll be able to demand whatever wages I want since there won't be anybody who knows how to do chit.

Do what the Cubans did and have doctors and hookers on every street corner. See how well that worked out for them.

"FREE" College education is coming soon to a school near you.

Don't doubt me on this. Did anyone watch the Socialist party Debate?
Between MRS Bill Clinton and Chicken Sanders, there was so much "FREE" stuff being proposed, I for one could not keep up.

The only catch is you have to vote socialist.

These college kids, many of who have never done a lick of work in their life, believe the political lies that everything should be free.

The stupid girl interviewed on Fox news said the top 1% should pay for it, with up to a 95% tax on their income.....including those making over $500,000 a year.

Since idiots like that are what the colleges are cranking out these days ~ God help the USA.

well, at least we know they ain't learning math cause that formula don't hunt.

where they gonna get the other trillion bucks? anyone, anyone?

We can tax the greedy businesses and come up with a trillion. Of course, that'll kill the economy even more, and then the snot-nosed little prima donnas will whine that there are no jobs for them after they graduate. And they'll want a couple more trillion in taxes from the people who've been working all their lives to pay their bills until they can find a job.

Really, every 4 years when an election rolls around, the socialist/communist weasels rile up these dopes to get the Dems to show up at the polls. That's what this is all about. Problem is, the economy is still tanking, and the people who are working and supporting everyone are really on their last nerve. I've got a feeling this election's gonna be even crazier than '68. Protests and counter protests, arrests, etc..

Now, think about this, these Black Lives Matter types have screamed so long and loud that they have the cops on the run in a bunch of cities. If these protests break out, the cops are gonna go all "sensitivity training" like they did in Baltimore and stand there with their little Plexiglas shields while the rioters throw rocks at them. Now, they picked Cleveland for the 2016 Republican convention because Ohio is a swing state, but Cleveland is a poop hole. If there's a city where the brothers may actually have a legitimate beef about the cops, it's Cleveland. You just KNOW that stuff is gonna get crazy.

In my opinion A kid that got a high school diploma in the early part of the last century was far more educated than what's coming out of colleges today. In fact I've looked though some grade school text books from the 7th and 8th grade from the end of the 1800s that were unbelievable how technical these books were. I would bet that a large majority of college grads today couldn't pass the test in those 8th grade books.

There were two BLM asshats at the GaTech VTech game last night with signs saying we stand with mizzou . They got booed down by the alumni section...

Does this mean I get all my money back from the educational loans I paid off for my two childrens education. Retroactive of course.

This is a great idea. I want the money back I paid for my girls' colleges, and for my own. We need a "college payers reparation" protest. Everyone who paid their own way through college, or their kids' way through college, rally at the college of your choice.

It's worse than that, I dropped out of high school in 1972, worked a few years then got a G.E.D.
I can spell better, know more about history and have a better vocabulary than the young engineers I work with.

What the hell good is free College education when the applicants can't pass a High School math, American history or English exam when given the answers.

They can get a job with the government with those bogus diplomas. They don't have to know anything because the people they work for don't know anything either. The government offices are full of them in Atlanta.

I was sitting in a meeting with a group of black GSA program managers from Atlanta one afternoon in Jackson, MS. There were 4 black women included in the group and all 4 of them were sitting there at the table texting while the meeting was taking place. They had no earthly idea what was taking place in the meeting nor did they care to know.

"A college Education is not worth much now and after it becomes free totally worthless."

When I was in school, about 25%(or less) high school grads went to college. It was an indication of "doing something special" with life. Now, college is sort of a "transition" and has very little meaning except wasting 4 years. It's accepted that nearly everyone is going to college regardless of actual intentions to increase knowledge. A BS degree doesn't mean much and may not have any logical basis in future life goals(stuff like ornithological paleontology or Byzantine culture).
My major was Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering. I didn't actually build any rockets or spaceships but I can figure the load on a pivot point or calculate the pressure in a hydraulic system. Stuff that is really worthwhile information.
Far too many kids graduate college with 4 years wasted learning stuff that is of absolutely no value.

College was never meant to be for everyone when they graduated high school. It was for those who were really prepared and could afford it. USAREC has long tracked the numbers and 75% of all first year college students didn't go on to the second year and only 15% graduated on time with a degree (any degree).

Since the education will be free there will be no grades given, they will all graduate no matter their grades.
