Liberal progressives

For the last several months I have been going from one liberal website to another posting conservative opinions in opposition to their approved dogma. The response I got from these open-minded, politically correct "people" was amazing and scary.

For the most part, any dissenting opinion earned me the title of "troll." They simply could not abide disagreement. Several websites went so far as to ban me simply because I posted information that fairly easily defeated their liberal, progressive, or socialist dogma.

I soon learned that rather than being tolerant, open-minded, and fair, liberals are intolerant, opinionated bigots. Added to that, they are unabashed liars whose favorite comeback is to accuse their opponent of lying.

Open-minded? A liberal will challenge every opinion that disagrees with his or hers and demand references, but then he will refuse to read those references because the information refutes his beliefs.

Tolerant? The most often used defense against opposing ideas is the personal attack, the argumentum ad hominem. For example, when I noted that Obama's actions were almost always anti-Israel the reply was that I was a racist SOB and thus totally wrong.

Fair? Mother Jones website, the self-proclaimed source of "Smart, Fearless Journalism" banned me three times for posting conflicting opinions and the information that they are supported by George Soros.

Now here is the scary part. These intelligent, caring, altruistic, well-educated, open-minded, loving and fair liberals often wrote that conservatives should be imprisoned or executed. They believed that all knowledge and wisdom resides in the cities and that rural areas, the so-called flyover states, should be barred from voting or participation in Congress.

One liberal even expressed the opinion that he will be happy when conservatives are disarmed by the government and the down-trodden African-Americans can then teach them all a lesson.

IME, any counter reference is automatically dismissed out of hand as "long disproven", "discredited", and "junk science". Logic escapes all but a few entirely. And the ones that can actually reason just get huffy and start calling you the vilest of names.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

I think it took me less than a day to get kicked of the Liberaland website. It was fun while it lasted! I know Dads3040 and Mr. Perfect were also on there attempting to spread some conservative cheer. I found those folks to be much as you describe, with the addition of being uppity know-it-alls. [}:)]

Indeed. These people all believe they have the answer to every problem, and they want to be in charge so they can apply their "brilliant" solutions. Considering their vicious nature and hatreds, I'd rather have Robespierre running things with his guillotine.

There's the downside. They don't believe any of their restrictions will apply to themselves. hey all expect to be part of the ruling elite rather than the unwashed masses.

Hi TC, great to see ya back posting!!! I have been posting on medium and get called a racist all the time. It is astounding to post FBI data links and be called a racist for pointing out that blacks are not gunned down by the police 100 times a day and if you post stats on city vs rural murders they go bonkers with excuses and claims I am a privileged white racist.

I know exactly what you mean about the city dweller Progressive snobs. They rely on government to do their dirty work, they think government is the answer to all of the questions in life. None of them have the guts to be the first through the door to disarm you or any of us country stupid heathens.

Alaska had a bumper sticker I remember from days gone by; it had to do with grennies fighting the oil pipeline.

"LET THEM FREEZE IN THE DARK".

Well, how about "LET THEM STARVE IN THE STREETS". It just might thin the herd a bit.

    Why bother?

    A) Because it's fun
    B) Because there's a chance that your comments might cause a liberals head to implode.
    C) Because there's an even smaller chance that you might educate one of them!
I know that last one is kinda like hoping for a million dollars to fall out of the sky and land in the bed of your pickup, but hey, a guy can dream, can't he?

+100 on A. It is fun. Watching the little pantloads get all wadded in their panties is just entertaining. Where else can you poke idiots with a steeek?

And yes, maybe you change the mind of the leftists, or someone just reading the comments. To win the battle of hearts and minds, you have to be willing to have the fight.

In my defense, Neo made me do it....[;)][:D]
