An Independent run

I was pondering the concept of The Donald running as an independent for President.

The GOP convention is July 18~21.
Now how effective would it be to run with the filing dates that would have passed.

Texas May 9 (38)
North Carolina June 9 (15)
Illinois June 27 (20)
New Mexico June 30 (5)
Nevada July 8 (6)
Georgia July 12 (16)
Delaware July 15 (3)
Florida July 15 (29)
Oklahoma July 15 (7)
South Carolina July 15 (9)
Michigan July 21 (16) )the last day of the convention)

By my count that is 11 States he would NOT be on the ballot. That is not a winning formula.
I wanted to bring this up now to limit the accusations of cheating and stealing the election

edited: to include the 164 electoral votes that would not be available.

He is basically making an independent run now, but is using the money and infrastructure of the GOP to do so.

Hard to say how many of his supporters are actually Republicans (not that it really means much anymore). Running a scorched earth campaign against the party you have chosen to join is either an attempt to change the party dramatically from within or opportunism to promote oneself at the expense of and probably to the demise of the party.

The Trumps have not been Republicans (as demonstrated by the fact that they had not even registered as such to be able to vote in the New York primary) so it is impossible to believe that the campaign is a legitimate effort to change the party.

We are left with the obvious, which is he has chosen to use the party structure and money to promote himself regardless of how his campaign affects the party - in effect, a third party run already.
Freedom and a submissive populace cannot co-exist.

Given his understanding of how the process works, he just might overlook that.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

Why not? It will be better than what we have!....the zGop said , "Give us the Senate , and we will stop Obama"!....can't even pass a budget...Congress is Republican , and can't get anything done!....same in my home state, WE have an adulterer as a Gov., A State Legislature that is pure GOP , and they can't pass a budget...The speaker of the House in 'Bama is under indictment, and will be going to Trial! ALL GOP!....We can't pass a lottery bill, but the "Creeks" have a lock on gaming...All our politicians are on the anti.gaming, getting kick backs from the Mississippi Casinos....All Gop Politicians...that's why I am now an Independent.
