All those islands over there In Caribbean need to build Hurricane resistant buildings instead of cracker wood square boxes. What does it take to make the government think and reprove their mindset?

President Donald Trump said the US territory had been 'absolutely obliterated' by the devastating storm.

He described Puerto Rico as in 'very, very, very perilous shape' and said US emergency authorities were starting to work on helping in the recovery.

Not sure which government you reference, but the government of Puerto Rico should be able to expect the same king of gravy train that is currently running through Texas and Florida.

We will continue to be baling out these areas forever because, as we have recently seen, the Federal Government will never change its mindset because voting the rest of the country's money to help out those that built poorly or in the wrong place is the feel good vote of the year.
Freedom and a submissive populace cannot co-exist.

It can't last if we keep getting these killer storms, too much population density to rebuild time after time. Here In Houston Texas Area you hear and see all the fanfare of how Houston will rebound with the news media but living in a flood plain with stuck tropical depressions over the area time and time again is bound to hurt this overbuild swamp down here on rebuilding, nothing but minorities in the city now holding the bag and wondering who suckered them into this mess.

Read a 41 year Engineer is hopping mad because that politicians with the developers and real estate establishment fooled him into buying a former 250,000 dollar house in a flood plain area.

When you snooze you lose for profits and greed is good in America and if you don't do your homework well to bad so sad. There is no substitute for taking care of yourself and trust no one especially
the establishment with crooks in charge looking to fleece you in my opinion.

Yep disclosure on new Homes are kind'a push to the side by the seller and the politics is so that they don't care until after the fact. I hope that black mayor gets his walking papers soon! He is incompetent lawyer turn politician! The worst of the worst.
