Justice John Roberts Thinks Court is Impartial?

He is wrong for the court is not impartial in my opinion especially with liveable birth abortions. The country is split right down the middle in politics and the polarity is a bad sign for we the people.

The court has long had a majority of judges appointed by Democratic presidents, with the current breakdown at 16-7. But Trump has the opportunity to narrow that edge significantly because there are six vacancies, and he already has nominated candidates for five of them.

Same reason anybody does, prosecutor or plaintiff.

Roberts is a bit of a disappointment, IMO.

Are we to believe that he really thinks there are no such things as 'Obama Judges'?

Meaning, of course that we are to believe that the chief justice of the Supreme Court thinks there are not sitting judges who were selected (and who make decisions) based not solely upon the Constitution but upon a political ideology or basis?

Horsecrap. He need only look at his colleagues. In any politically charged decision, one can pick with 90%+ accuracy the decisions of Thomas, Alito, Ginsburg, Breyer, and Sotomayor. A little be less so with Kagan, and Roberts himself. Time will tell with the two newbies.

The Federal Courts have been politicized and to deny it perpetuates rather than diffuses the problem.

Roberts is either lying or living in an idealist dream world. He would be best served by taking the blindfold off of himself and insisting that it go back onto Lady Justice.

Exactly what I now see in Roberts, based on his recent comments and they are about the most ignorant comments I've heard from a person with his position.

?We do not have Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges. What we have is an extraordinary group of dedicated judges doing their level best to do equal right to those appearing before them,? Mr Roberts said in a rare public show of defiance.

Self Flaguation or misdirected self esteem?

Hard to believe that he could make those comments and keep a straight face.

That's because he must maintain the illusion that The Court is above politics and is blind to the scales of justice when they rule over a judgment. He is a hypocrite to think that they are above politics.

The temple and the palace one day will be one institution and The supreme court acts like one already!

Do you think that I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I tell you, but division. 52From now on, five in one household will be divided, three against two and two against three. 53They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.?
