questions about felons & firearms

I'm a federal felon for possesing unregistered silencer in Missouri.Can my father still have a gun in the house, if so how? And is there anyway to get my gun rights back?

    From what I have read on the internet, he can as long as you cannot access them in any way. Also, I have read that you need a Presidential Pardon. It seems that you can apply for regular pardons, but they have not been funding them. Maybe the next election will change things.

    Good luck "kid", you have my sympathy. I figure that if they trust you to re-join society then they should allow you to defend yourself. Also registration of silencers is definetly an infringement on the "Right to Keep and Bear arms". The best way to work to recover your rights right now would be to become a RKBA activist/lobbyist.

    This question has been asked quite often.

    Because it comes up often enough, a few years ago, I emailed the BATF on this. The reply I received from the BATF is posted below. Keep in mind that this only cover FEDERAL law. Local laws can, and may be more strict.

    "Should not be accessible." "It is suggested that..." There's no statute there prohibiting your father from having guns in his/your home, only advice aimed at preventing a prohibited person from gaining access.

    State and local laws may differ, though, as has been indicated.

    while i know it is not legal i am aware of a few "felons" who still own/aquire firarms. to my knowledge they were idiot kids or some bs charges laid on them. theve owned their toys for years with no problems. they keep their heads down dont raise a ruckas and mid their own. they dont carry on them in in ccw just in their homes. if your parole or probation is over and they stop doing monthly inspections of your house unless you do something foolish thats brings them back into your home how are you gonna get caught?
