Welcome, and good luck, I really doubt it's useful. You can't make someone change their mind without their mind first being able to accept the change and their character to be able to accept being wrong. Virtually impossible.

I have grown extremely weary of doing it on the Internet, I prefer face to face communication and so far (yes, I am bragging) I have had somewhat high percentage success rate of convincing people to reconsider socialist-democratic liberal indoctrination and try to understand the other side. Too bad I don't get reimbursed for the literature I have given away, but hopefully it won't sit on one's shelf and will find its way to someone else's hands.
I think it's getting a bit easier though to turn people away from the dark side given the amount of concrete data and indisputable facts of all the deeds of Democrats and liberals in general in the last hundred years or so. Maybe after the Super New Deal, that we are about to experience, people's eyes will open somewhat. One can only hope at this point.

I have (had) a small library of books and other material that makes the 'individual liberty' point. Most is on-loan and has been for some time, to various friends and acquaintances. This is normally followed by face-to-face discussion on the subject matter and related to current events.
I also find that method far more effective than the internet wars, but damn it, I still have a bit of fun doing this and well, occasionally one reaches through to somebody. Besides, it is nice to exchange ideas with similar-minded folks.
For me, it brings home the realization that those with similar outlook, are not as rare as I once thought.
I also think a few eyes will open after the 'real festivities' begin soon.
One can only hope and we shall see.

And yet on another side note: do you have any literature recommendations besides the obvious authors like Paine, Jefferson, Franklin, etc.? I used to maintain a list of a books I compiled for this kind of stuff, just gotta pull it from an old harddrive.
