I am more than sure that with all the avid writers on here that this has been addressed. I am trying to make sure I understand what is going on.
We, the American people of this country, will be able to maintain our right to keep and bear arms, but the government is now halting, slowing, seizing...whatever, all handgun ammunition?
I guess the spirit of the Constitution is intact but really, am I not getting something here?
I know that the government is openly practicing Socialism (running business' i.e. Chrysler)
Now, they are saying that they'll just stop production of handgun sized ammunition?
The obvious is next, certain/most rifle calibers.
Joseph Stalin (I am sure most all know the name) once wrote that should a government wish to control it's people, take their guns.
I don't understand how a government that is obviously corrupt, taxes without representation, openly practices forms of government that [we] have fought to protect against can be allowed to exist (in this country...)
We have politicians that are completely and without fear of reprisal or retribution operating in the public eye.
We have a government that cannot control it's own idiosyncrasies yet want to throw every working American under the bus to make sure that the "common" man is silenced.
Our government, in the many ways it has good, is just out of control. I thank God tht I will not be around to see the end. As a male in his mid 40's, I doubt that I will see how much furhter the government will reduce us to slaves. Socialism will be the norm with out and out communism hard breathing in the back ground.
It's frigging ridiculous. I'd say I'd leave, what's the point? Most every other country has these idiot types running them as well.
It's painfully obvious that only rich people become politicians. Then they become rich, lying bags of $%it. They buy their way into the social scene then it's the long ride on the working mans back.
I wish I had a real voice. There's not a politician involved in this raping of American citizens that should be allowed to have any voice that "represents" me. What a joke.

Wow. I am just done. Presidents A.K.A. Supreme Commanders, that have no earthly idea what the hell they are doing running our military and praising sunrises on a beach. Tree hugger's.
Take their rights. The hell with the American public at large. (someone in the White House should check history and find out why Japan did not attack mainland USA back in '40)

I agree with a lot of what you're saying. However, I think that you cannot make a blanket statement about the rich being bad, corrupt, etc. Not all rich people are. Some are, but not all. Just at some poor and middle class are Liberals (communists), not all are.
The Liberal politicians in collusion with liberal media and unions, have been very clever over the last several decades, in gradually eroding our rights and brainwashing at least the majority of one generation.
Now that they have morally and ethicly corrupted enough people to get a communist elected President, they can accelerate their agenda.
This has not happened overnight. You and I are close to the same age apparently, and I have no doubt that we will both see far worse transgressions by our 'elected' officials.
We no longer have a mainstream media that serves the purpose our Founding Fathers intended by their inclusion of the First Amendment. The mainstream media no longer reports on what politicians are doing in a way that would expose the corrupt, evil power grab that is taking place.
Now the media is but cheerleading governments destruction of the Constitution.
Union control of the educational system have created a generation of zombies that no longer view government with a critical eye, but suckle at the teat of Big Brother.
I see it daily with my own children. However, my kids are NOT zombies, since I have raised them from babies to be strong, conservative, free thinkers. They are able to combat the socialist teachings in school with fact, data, dates, and truth. Things that Liberals cannot combat since all their arguements are based on lies and deceit.
If Liberals could remove their blinders and stop drinking the Kool-Aid that government is feeding through the media, and just look at the facts, I'm sure many would be astounded at what they see.
For example, the GM, Chrysler issues going on right now. Ultimately it appears that the 'owners' of these two corporations are going to be government and the unions. Comrade Obama has violated the Constitution in numerous ways, yet the media does not mention anything about it.
If, and I emphasize 'if', the Wall Street banks created this financial mess and they are so much to blame, why didn't Comrade Obama fire any of those CEO's, like he did Rick Wagoner, former head of GM?
Simple. Wall Street banks & the majority of heads of those banks, contributed heavily to Comrade Obama's political campaign. Rick Wagaoner was not very fond of the UAW and other unions that have made such unreasonable demands on the auto industry for decades.
What about the complicity of Barney Frank and Chris Dodd in the financial mess? Why does media not expose them for the lying, cheating, corrupt scum they are?
Things will get much worse, and we will see it.
As I learned from Frank Herbert in Dune, "Power attracts the corruptible." I think its that fact more than being rich that contributes to being a politician. Since if you're corrupt, you're more likely to have a quid pro quo with some company that will then be willing to fill your campaign coffers and help your campain in other ways. If you haven't read Dune, you should, I think a lot of you guys would like it. I think most of the themes of that book fall in line with your thinking.

My dad fought in 3 major conflicts to protect "our" rights. Rights that our forefathers lived and died for. That escaped the TYRANNY of of oppressive government and now to be so carelessly displayed as a carrot in front of our faces and with the knowledge that there is NOTHING we can do about it.
I also did not mean to imply that all rich are corrupt. Not even sort of. Just rich politicians. To hell with the concept of continued pilfering and bolstered, fake economics:
Raise prices because [they] can. Allow a company that produces a NECESSITY to make gross profits (fuel/gas). We all know the list is endless.
Does anyone have any ideas? Is anyone really doing anything? I volunteered for army many years back. I was part of it. Stupid me.
