When my buddy and I went out to finish off the .45 ammo I had bought, on the first shot, the XD doubled and the slide jammed forward at about an eighth inch out of battery. My gunsmith is now looking at it to see if it needs to go back to the factory.
I'll keep you advised.

Though I was never 100% comfortable with the pistol, mainly because it was striker fired and I like to see a hammer, it ate everything I put through it.
As noted previously, that pistol received and fired over 1,000 rounds of ball and 100+ rounds of Hydro-shock by the time I shipped it to you. It never had a failure to feed, failure to fire, or failure to extract.
I am curious as what happened.

Any word from your smith?

I have 2 XD's,......a .40 and a .45.
That is why I passed on entering for the gun.
No issues ever with all kinds of ammo.
He is buried hip deep in his regular job.
I'll let y'all know.
