Can i llegaly own a shotgun in N.Y.C

Hi to all i want to know if i can bring my shotgun back to New York from Florida i bought it new from a gun shop and moving back to ny and hate to have to sell it, also i have a handgun can i get a target or home permit is this possible, Thanks your response is greatly apreciated.[8D]

    Shotgun no problem. Handgun big problem. Can you leave it in Florida with a friend? If so do it and then apply for a pistol permit in NY. Once you get it have the gun put on your permit. Then have it shipped dealer to dealer.
