Senators Call for Gun Ban

From FirearmsTruth.com this week (http://www.firearmstruth.com/2011/new-report-revives-70-percent-number):
Are Democratic Senators trying to make gun control an agenda? CNN notes that three Senators released a report that claims that "more than 70% of 29.284 firearms submitted to U.S. Department of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms for tracing by the Mexican government during 2009 and 2010 originated in the United States."
We have to wonder, as the old 90 percent number was widely debunked, but that didn't stop Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-California), Sen. Charles Schumer (D-New York) and Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-Rhode Island) from crafting a the new report.
CNN quoted Feinstein:
"Congress has been virtually moribund while powerful Mexican drug trafficking organizations continue to gain unfettered access to military-style firearms coming from the United States."
So what is the agenda? The senators are already calling for reinstatement of an assault weapons ban that expired in 2004 along with what they call "better enforcement of a ban on the import of military style weapons."
Could this just be a backdoor way of getting a gun ban through Congress? This is called a "False Flag" tactic, where a crisis is created - such as having the ATF allowing guns to walk to Mexico - and a solution is crafted to solve the very problem. Thus ATF allowed guns to go to Mexico, which in turn inflated the number sent for tracing, and now these Senators can call on a ban of that very style of guns.
This is being dismissed by some as a wacky conspiracy, but remember: just because you are paranoid doesn't mean someone isn't out to get you.
