Gun registry ended in Canada

deerhidedeerhide Member Posts: 224 ✭✭✭
Last week the Canadian Parliament passed a Bill ending the Long Gun Registry. It should be as simple as that but it is not given that the RCMP believe in consifcation to 'control' guns. We're not out of the woods yet but it is a start. :)

    Great news.

At the rate you folks are moving and the rate we are moving, it ain't gonna be all that long before the banner 'Land of the Free' will have to move north.

    Good luck.

Latest from whoever answers the phone at the registry.
"registration of non-restricted firearms is no longer required"
(non-restricted generally means rifles and shotguns used for hunting or recreational shooting)
