Praying for you guys (and the rest of us too) but man oh man are they really pushing hard there.

Regardless of the outcome, if I were in NY, I'd start a "Cuomo Must Go!" campaign.

Mass civil disobedience worked for Ghandi; might be time for New Yorkers, Californians and Illinoisans to give it a go.

Something has to happen. A lot of us aren't just going to "go with the flow". New legislation will cause more problems and won't do any good.

It just goes to show you how controlled the media is when Cuomo is allowed to keep pretending this is about deer hunting. There should be at least one local NY broadcaster who points out that this is exactly the tyranny the 2A is designed to prevent. It is a bizarro world where facts and truth are abandoned for blatant falsehoods and prevarications.[xx(][xx(][xx(][xx(][xx(][xx(][xx(][xx(][xx(][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][xx(][xx(][xx(][xx(][xx(][xx(][xx(]

Not good, this sounds like a done deal this morning. How can they limit mags to 7, does this make my little 22 target pistol an illegal "assault weapon"?

Doesn't Kimber still manufacture in NYS?

Hmmmm.... Perhaps 7 rounds is an economic vs. moral decision????

I have gone to NY every few years for the last couple of decades. There is history in the state and in the City that we simply do not have out here in the west.

If nothing else, my tourist dollars will no longer be going into that State's coffers.

Interesting thought about going from a ten round to a seven round magazine. Problem is not altering the magazine to hold no more than seven rounds, or someone manufacturing a magazine to hold that many. The problem would be in the wording .. and I am sure they have said any gun that is "capable" of accepting a magazine holding more than seven rounds of ammunition .... which means they won't care if the gun holds one round or a hundred if it can accept a magazine that in theory could be manufactured to hold more than seven.

I have a Fiala pistol that is manually operated, but has a magazine that holds more than seven rounds ... that would be illegal, I'm sure, based upon the way they will interpret the law.

I like the keeping tourist money out of the state concept, but would probably favor welcoming any one that wanted to leave the state to move into our neck of the woods and maybe seceding with many of the middle and southern states.

I had a conversation with a close friend the other day, now this friend has worked for NYS D.E.C in the administrative sector and knows all about the ins & outs of its workings & its needs of its sustainability for over 16 years. So I wanted to know what his feelings were about the new gun laws etc, This is what he said. NYS Government is very " Concerned " because at a closed door conference someone brought up "What if all NYS sportsman protested buy not purchasing a license from NYS D.E.C" for 2013 " I asked my friend what would happen, he said " Are you kidding me" NYS D.E.C sold a ton of hunting license !!! and most hunters buy the $98 super sportsman license, so you do the math. and if you think all that $$$$ stays in D.E.C for its sportsman programs like Wildlife Restoration, Fish Stocking, State Lands, Forest Management, Law Enforcement. Etc Then let me inform you young man your worng ! This $$$$ goes all over, its so much that other agencies are getting funding from it, you wouldent beleave it!!! NYS agencies would be " Crippled " by at least 40% with out it!! I said isent there some kind of legislation or law that says this money from hunting license is used only for those programs, he smiled and said thats what your told, to many loop holes !!!! & the sad part is that a lot of the programs that NYS spends this money on greatly benerfits the same peaple who are protesting & signing petitions to take away your rights!!! see NYS is counting on hunters not to boycot the license because we are to self centered to unit and stand together!!! just think about it!!! wouldent that be a kick in the pants for them!!! Hey NRA if you read this & think it would work, then help us do it !!!!!!
