HOW CAN WE UNITE?

THIS MIGHT SOUND POLITICALLY INCORRECT, BUT BECAUSE ONE OR TWO MENTALLY DISABLED PEOPLE ILLEGALLY STOLE AND OR USED A SEMI- AUTO FIREARM, THE 2ND AMENDMENT RIGHTS FOR MILLIONS COULD BE RE-INTRODUCED TO US THROUGH A LIBERAL PROSPECTIVE THAT GUARANTEES ONLY ONE OBJECTIVE. AN ULTIMATE AND COMPLETE DISARMAMENT OF FREE CITIZENS.---EVERYONE SHOULD BE AFRAID.

    we can unite, by joining the NRA-ILA, Gun Owners of American, and NAGR, etc. They are our lobbyists and voice in Congress.

    I see a lot of posts bashing the NRA, let me tell you that's just stupid. Anyone bashing the NRA is trying to take gun rights away from their POLITICAL OPPONENTS, thinking because they voted for Obama, or are Democrats, they'll get to keep their firearms and be immune from the law.

    not gonna happen. A vote against the NRA is an IQ test, if you do it, you flunked.

    We can unite by bombarding our Representatives and Senators with letters. Actual letters are the most powerful. Emails don't hurt but are much easier to ignore.

    Either way, write it yourself, be respectful and encourage rather than demand. Most of these folks have egos that only respond to stroking, not poking.

    FWIW, a vote for the NRA actually is an IQ test, or more accurately a history test. Such a vote demonstrates that you would rather compromise your children's future than go through a bit of a rough patch.

    The words of Thomas Paine and of Samuel Adams should be burned into our collective souls, but, sadly, they have been lost to the ages...

    Mr. Paine:

    "If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace."

    Mr. Adams:

    "If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."

    These two quotes point to the tremendous problems many have with the NRA's approach to the 2nd Amendment. Wayne and Co. tried to avoid the Heller/McDonald showdown and pass the problem to our children.

    When they engaged during the McDonald case they successfully pushed for a 'Due Process' vs. 'Privileges and Immunities' incorporation because they wished not to engage in an animating contest for freedom.

    The NRA will ensure that you can keep some guns. It remains a significant danger to freedom.

    Yes, unite in support of such organizations as the SAF, CATO Institute, and to a great degree, the GOA. I do and will continue to do so.

    We should also unite in opposition to organizations that have repeatedly and continue to turn their backs on the 2nd Amendment, such as the NRA-ILA.

    If you really want to present a united front, the first thing we must do is quit catagorizing people and calling them names. There are are many liberal gun owners that will not step foreward if they are called vulgar names. Gun ownership and use is not a purely political issue.
